Total War failed to find DirectX 9. So long story short i just bought ROME TOTAL WARRIOR and installed it into my laptop and when i try to play it it says 'Total. Original title: DirectX problems running Vista over Bootcamp. I have browsed the web for the last little while and cannot find any solutions. I am trying to run Rome Total War on Vista, over bootcamp. On booting the exe the desktop flickers between two resolutions for about a minute and then comes up with the 'Rome: Total War failed to find DirectX9, which is required for the game to run. Thank you for being part of Windows 10 family. Sorry to know that you are facing issues while playing Rome Total war in Windows 10. According to the below Microsoft Help Article, some of the versions of Rome Total war is compatible with Windows 10. Just let us know your make & model, e.g. Dell Dimension 4100 etc., check the paper work/manual that came with your PC and be specific.
