Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. / (WALTHER) Model TPH Cal. 22 lr.” The serial number is on the right side of the frame, ahead of the grip panel. The West German “N” Proof mark is on the left rear of the slide and on the barrel at the ejection port. There are other proofs on the barrel here as well. We see no import marks.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed white dot post. The rear sight is a dovetail set, white line, square notch sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black plastic. There are a handful of marks and scratches, with wear to the checkering. The WALTHER banner is in the right and left panels and the left panel is marked “MADE IN GERMANY”. The grip screw slots are somewhat worn. The grips rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is a bit of wear at the muzzle and leading edges of the slide. The frame shows wear at the edges, generally below the trigger guard on the front strap. The screw heads are a bit worn. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions properly. We did not fire this handgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A total of FOUR 6-Round magazines are included. These all rate in Fine – Excellent condition and are marked “WALTHER” and “cal. 22 lr.” the original two piece brown cardboard box is included. The lid is marked “WALTHER” / “MODELL TPH Cal. 22”. The serial number is handwritten in pencil on the bottom. The box is sound with scuffs and a bit of corner wear. There are some adhesive tape remnants on the underside of the bottom. The box rates in Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: This pistol is very well-made and in fantastic condition. It can be fired in either single or double action modes. With its no-snag hammer, it is perfect for carrying concealed in a pocket or fanny-pack and its small size is makes it easy to take hiking for a little informal plinking. This is NOT one of the Interarms TPH American guns, this is a true German made TPH.
