Fanuc Robot M10ia Maintenance Manual

The slender FANUC M-10iA simplifies applications and floor plans as it is more compact than other robots in its class while maintaining the highest axis speeds and best repeatability in its class. Furthermore, the M-10iA can handle up to 10kg payload and reach a full 1,420mm horizontally. It is truly a small but mighty robot, weighing in at a mere 130 kg while also providing some of the highest write moments and inertia in its class.

In addition, the FANUC M-10iA has a short, standard, and long arm available, and two different types of wrists, hollow or high-inertia. The hollow wrist, dress-out and the routing of cables simplifies the robot, improves the reliability, and reduces the overall system cost. Also, the M-10iA robot can be mounted at any angle on the floor, wall, or ceiling. The work envelope is also increased as J3 can flip over backwards.

The FANUC M-10iA comes equipped with a 2D vision cable integrated through the robot arm and is paired with the R-30iA controller and teach pendant.

RobotWorx also offers used FANUC M-10iA robots; experts work hard to provide like-new robots after they send every used M-10iA through a rigorous reconditioning process. Furthermore, any new or used robot comes with a RobotWorx Value Package.

Whether new or used, the FANUC M-10iA is the perfect solution for your application as it sets the industry standards for small robots with its high axis speeds and incredible repeatability for it's class. The M-10iA is built with precision and speed in mind as it has increased acceleration performance that results in higher productivity.

EVERYONE WOULD AGREE THAT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE IS THE BEST FORMULA FOR KEEPING YOUR ROBOT OPERATIONAL 24 HOURS / DAY AND EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR INVESTMENT.

Justification for Acieta PM Program

Assures correct preventive robot maintenance schedules are performed by qualified FANUC trained personnel to avoid premature mechanical and/or electrical failure.

Current control and vision software backups to ensure quick software restore of programs and system software in case of a catastrophic control component failure or inadvertent deletion of data.

Assurance of installation of correct FANUC recommended lubricants and parts.

Decrease of machine down time and loss of production due to undetected problems. The robot will be inspected and tested for worn parts, which would normally not be detected until a down condition occurs. Service and parts can be scheduled so as not to interfere with normal production.

Preventive Maintenance may be scheduled up to 12 months ahead of time guaranteeing times and rates.

HOW OFTEN DO ROBOTS NEED MAINTENANCE?

Robot maintenance should be an integral part of your overall maintenance plan. While manufacturer specs differ, FANUC robot preventive maintenance is recommended by the manufacturer after 3,850 hours of use or one calendar year — whichever is earlier. For other manufacturers, maintenance of industrial robots may be recommended up to every 10,000 hours. Note, however, that basic industrial automation maintenance should occur more frequently, as often as daily checks for sensor surface cleaning and visual checks.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF ROBOTS DON’T GET SERVICED?

Without robot maintenance, issues may quickly arise. These include:

  • Improper functioning, whether due to dirty sensors and optics, fluid leaks, or other problems
  • Part defects
  • Slower production speeds
  • Reduced component and equipment life span

DO I REALLY NEED A ROBOT MAINTENANCE PLAN?

Fanuc Robot M10ia Maintenance Manual 1

Yes. Plans such as a FANUC robot maintenance plan are not only important to the quality of the finished product, they are critical to productivity. Poorly maintained robots may take longer to carry out operations, or may lead to rework or increased part rejections. More importantly, maintenance can extend the life of your equipment exponentially, helping you see a strong return on your investment, both in equipment and maintenance.
