Be aware that half of all future drivers do not pass this test the first time, so make sure you study the Maryland Driver’s Manual. You can take the actual test at any of the 16 MVA branches, but you can only take the test your first time on a Saturday. Pass a written Maryland permit test with a score of 80% or better; Fill out a school attendance certification form (usually with the help of a school official). Talk to a registered coordinator in your area if you are homeschooled. The next step is enrolling in a state-approved Maryland MVA drivers ed course.
For the safety of our students and staff Drive On Time Driving School is offering Virtual Drivers Ed. Classes. Our recommendation is to try virtual if you have a laptop (with chrome,firefox or edge), a good internet connection and a photo ID. We are resuming in person classroom sessions (see schedule for details). In person students and instructors must answer Covid screening questions, wear mask and submit to daily touchless temperature check. No one with Covid symptoms or potential Covid contact within the last 14 days will be admitted to class. All our offices and classrooms are sanitized daily with alcohol, bleach and UVC sanitizing lamp.
We are resuming the driving sessions you will see our fleet of 12 vehicles on the road. To drive, students must answer screening questions, take temperature, have parental written authorization, wear mask at all times. Instructors will wear mask, take temperature daily, and sanitize vehicles between students. Students will be required to bring their own masks for all classroom and driving sessions.
Driver Improvement Program are available in class at our New Location at 810 Beaglin Park Drive Unit 9, Salisbury, MD only. Our Corporate headquarters has moved to 810 Beaglin Park Drive Unit 9, Salisbury, MD next to Royal Farms. In person students must wear mask and submit to touchless temperature check.
